Reserving the Terrace Overlook
We love it when community members want to mark their special ceremonies at the Garden. Kubota Garden is owned and maintained by Seattle's Parks and Recreation Department. All events at Kubota Garden are scheduled and permitted by them. For information on how to obtain a permit and schedule a special event, check out their website at http://www.seattle.gov/parks/reserve/outdoor-ceremony-reservations. You can also call them at 206-684-4080 x2 or email at sprevents@seattle.gov.
- Group size is limited to 150 guests.
- No alcoholic beverages or amplified sound are allowed.
- A reservation does not close the entire garden.
- Public access is only limited to the site of the wedding during the event. Tour guides are asked to lead their groups away from the ceremonies and celebrations.
- The Tom Kubota Stroll Garden is wheelchair accessible; other areas of the Garden are less accessible to wheelchairs. Primary paths are hard-packed gravel.
- There are five picnic tables, a few benches and a few expanses of lawn area throughout the Garden.
- Dogs are welcomed, provided they are on a leash, kept out of plants and ponds, and you clean-up after them.
